The transition from the summer season to the Autumn season always takes place in September. This date is however not fixed because it depends on the autumnal equinox which takes place according to the years on September 21, 22, 23 or 24.
This year the Autumn will start on Monday September 22, 2025 (day of the fall equinox) and will end on Sunday December 21, 2025 with the winter solstice.

Be careful the date of the beginning of Autumn is not fixed and can vary from one year to another. Although it falls most often on September 22 or 23, it happens exceptionally that autumn begins on September 21 or 24.

In the northern hemisphere the dates of the meteorological Autumn extend from September 1 to November 30 (September, October and November).
